ICICI bank installs Organic Waste Digester in Baramulla garrison

Baramulla: ICICI Bank has installed an Organic Waste Digester under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Act in Baramulla garrison at an approx. cost of 41 lakhs rupees.
The Organic Waste Digester is designed to allow continuous processing of a wide range of organic waste material. The worms supplied with the unit are composting worms and break down, and process the organic material, just as in nature but within an optimized environment, within the digester.
The Organic Waste Digester is a part of Swach Bharat Mission undertaken by ICICI Foundation. It produces nutrient rich compost, work on low power consumption and requires very less maintenance. It does not emit Greenhouse gas and has a low carbon footprint. It is a highly engineered unit that overcomes the drawback of conventional composting to give real benefits to the end user and the environment.
On 05 Sep 2022 the organic waste digester was inaugurated by Maj Gen Ajay Chandpuria, VSM in the presence of ICICI Bank representatives.
