Food Safety Office Anantnag seizes 1000 kgs counterfeit ghee
ANANTNAG: Acting on a tip off, the Food Safety Officer Anantnag conducted raids at several market places in Anantnag and recovered 1000kgs of counterfeit ghee.
As per reports, packed in secondary and tertiary packages as Verka desi ghee, counterfeit ghee is being sold at lower rates in the market. The ghee is being imported from outside and sold in the local market. The Office of FSO Anantnag has started a full fledged investigation into the matter to book the culprits.
The general public is requested to properly check the packaging of ghee before buying and report any counterfeit ghee being sold to the Food Safety Office.
