Gunfight breaks out in Sopore in north Kashmir
Srinagar, August 31: A fierce gunfight broke out between terrorists and government forces in Bomai area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Wednesday.
Reports said that a joint team of Police, Army’s 22RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Bomai.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed about the exchange of fire at the spot.
