75 feet high Tiranga hoisted at DC office Anantnag
ANANTNAG: A 75 feet high Tiranga was hoisted at Deputry Commissioner’s office on Saturday. The event was organised under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsov’ and to give boost to the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign in the district.
The DDC Chairperson Mohd Yousuf Gorsi along with MC President Hilal Ahmad Shah, DDC Anantnag Dr. Piyush Singla, SSP Ashish Mishra jointly hoisted and unfurled the National flag in DC office premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Singla said that the day shall stand as of historic importance as the whole nation is hoisting the Trianga on their homes.
He also congratulated people on the eve of Independence Day.
DDC Chairman in his address said it was a moment of proud and happiness to hoist the National Flag. He impressed upon the people to inculcate the values of nationalism and patriotism among the new generations.
SSP in his address on ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign highlighted the importance of National Symbols. President MC Anantnag shared his views as well.
Significance of the National Flag was also highlighted by the speakers.
