New bus stand Pulwama in Shambles, commuters suffer
Pulwama: The new bus stand in Pulwama which was established three years has been left in shambles by the authorities, leaving commuters to suffer.
The commuters said that this bus stand was established three years before but it hasn’t been repaired since then causing inconveniences to the people on a daily basis.
“The whole bus stand gets submerged in rain water whenever it rains in the area and it gets difficult for the passenger to enter into the stand and avail a vehicle,” said Owais Ahmad, a local passenger.
He said the old stand was better than this as every facility was available there.
Notably, in order to get rid of traffic jam the bus stand was shifted to Drusu.
“But in absence of facilities, passengers have to suffer badly,” he said.
Shabir Ahmad, another passenger said that government must take immediate steps to repair this stand so that passengers won’t suffer any more.
“The authorities are well aware about the issue but no steps are being taken to repair it for unknown reasons,” he said.
They commuters and the locals urged the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama to personally look into the matter and direct concerned authorities to repair the bus stand.
