SED Sgr organizes activities under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign
SRINAGAR: The School Education Department (SED) Srinagar on Thursday organized a series of programmes as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative of government being celebrated under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
The activities were organised in various Higher Secondary Schools of the district.
The activities were held on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Mohammad Aijaz Asad to create awareness among the students about the freedom fighters, history of Indian freedom struggle and the importance of the National Flag.
During the programmes, various activities were held at the occasion. Earlier the activities were conducted at School level followed by the Zonal Level Competition.
All Government Schools and most of the Private schools participated in this Programme.
The District level Competition was formally inaugurated by Nusrat Bukhari, Principal GGHSS Kothibagh and Shaheena, Principal GHSS Khanyar.
The Deputy Chief Education Officer (CEO) Srinagar Anjum Raja in her address appreciated the efforts of the students in making the AKAM Activity Calendar successful.
