Budgam Encounter: Two terrorists killed, operation continues
Budgam, Aug 10: Two terrorists have been killed in the ongoing encounter between security forces and militants in Muqam area of Waterhal in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Wednesday, officials said here.
A senior police official said that two terrorists have been killed, while the operation was going on in the area.
Earlier, a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) on specific information about the presence of terrorists in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them, which was retaliated to, triggering a gunfight.
“03 #terrorists of #terror outfit LeT(TRF) including terrorist Lateef Rather trapped in ongoing #encounter. Terrorist Lateef is involved in several #civilian #killings including Rahul Bhat & Amreen Bhat,” Kashmir zone police had tweeted.
