ADC Handwara visits polling stations, schools in far-off areas

KUPWARA: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara Nazir Ahmad Mir along with Tehsildar Zachildara and Handwara Friday visited far-flung areas of and inspected schools which are likely to be designated as new polling stations.
The ADC reviewed availability of facilities including water and power supply, ramps and road connectivity in these schools. He also visited various other schools which are used as polling stations during elections.
Notably, the suggestions regarding creation of new polling stations were put forth by the members of political parties recently during a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara.
The ADC, during the tour also inspected various Educational and Health Institutions including UPS Dardhaji, Middle School Satkoji, Higher Secondary Behnipora and High School Rajpora and Checked the attendance of the staff.
He interacted with teachers and staff of these institutions and stressed upon them to work with added dedication and honesty.
