He said that today at 7am, he admitted his wife Sameena Begum to the Labour Room at the hospital and the doctor present there advised them for immediate USG.
“After checking the USG report the doctor told us that the baby is in normal condition in the mother’s womb and the baby’s movement is also alright and asked us to wait for some time for delivery of the baby,” Rasool said.
“We were waiting till 10.30 am, when a day duty doctor came into the labour room to examine my wife. During checkup she gave her two injections and soon after my wife delivered a dead baby,” he said.
He however said that the baby could not survive due to the delay, poor healthcare of doctors and BMO.
Meanwhile, the family was joined by some locals at SDH Sopore alleging sheer negligence by the doctors.
They were shouting slogans against erring doctors and BMO and demanded action against them.
Block Medical Officer (BMO), Dr. Zulfikar said that it was a matter of investigation.
