Padgampora-Dangerpora road in shambles, locals aghast

Awantipora: The residents of Dangerpora and Padgampora area in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district are up in arms against the authorities for leaving the road lies in shambles.
Locals said that the road from Padgampora to Peer Mohalla Dangerpora has developed potholes, giving tough time to commuters.
“When it rains, it becomes difficult to pass drive on the road as it remains submerged in water,” a local resident said.
The residents said the road connects the area with two primary schools, one middle school, Ziyarat Shareef, two panchayats and agriculture farm.
“The road was macadamised around two years ago but it didn’t last long,” said another resident.
The locals said they brought the issue in notice of authorities several times but to no avail.
“Every time we are given verbal assurances that it will be repaired but nothing is being done on ground,” they said.
The residents urged the higher ups to look into the matter and take up the repairation work this year.
