JK reports 12 new covid-19 cases

Srinagar, June 11: Jammu and Kashmir reported 12 new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the virus during the past 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

They said that seven cases were reported from Srinagar district, three from Jammu  and one each from Kathua and Baramulla, taking the overall tally to 454337—166539 in Jammu division and 287798 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, two Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—one each from Jammu division and Kashmir. So far 449504 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 81— 64 in Jammu and 17 in Kashmir.

The officials said that there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 5119 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
