DDC Shopian takes stock of developmental works of district

Shopian: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Thursday conducted an extensive tour of various far-flung areas of the district to assess public issues and concerns besides taking stock of development works in these unreachable parts.
The DDC toured Chittragam, Hydergund, Durpora and other villages of Zainapora Sub Division.
He instructed the officers to work with a proactive approach towards resolving the issues of people living in such tough remotest parts of the district.
He directed them to take regular review meetings with block and tehsil level officers to get first-hand feedback of implementation of various developmental works.
People in general and several deputations raised their issues like road connectivity, up-gradation of educational institutions, sports and health infrastructure, augmentation of PDD infrastructure, transport connectivity, Ambulance, adequate strength of Teachers and Doctors especially Lady doctor for remote areas, Water supply schemes, liquidation of MGNREGA liabilities, online updation of Ration cards and presence of officers at block level.
The DDC assured the villagers that their demands will be met in a time-bound manner.
During the visit, the DDC inspected Tehsil Office Chitragam and BDO’s Office Zainapora and emphasized for working tirelessly with great dedication to facilitate the general masses of the area.
He also took stock of under construction developmental works and exhorted upon the concerned to ensure timely completion of these works.
