Sopore police holds 2-day Training programme on IRAD

Sopore: J&K Police Sopore on Thursday kick started a two days training programme on the Integrated Road Accident Database (IRAD) Project-an initiative of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), Government of India.
The event was held at conference Hall DPO Sopore and was attended by SDPO Sopore, DYSP DAR Sopore, all Station House officers, Incharge Police Posts, CCTNS and Computer operators of all police Stations,Police posts of Police District Sopore.
Incharge Crime Section DPO Sopore, RW Section, IT/CCTNS Section also participated in this training programme.
The main objective of the project is development of Integrated Road Accident Database (IRAD) to enrich the accident databases from every part of the country.
“The project will generate various types of insights by analyzing the collected road accident data across the country through implementation of data analytics technique,” the organisers informed at the occasion.
The proposed system will represent the analysis output through Monitoring and Reporting Dashboard and Analytics Dashboard for easy understanding and accordingly forecasting and Decision Making by Apex Authorities for formulation of new policies and strategies.
The outcome of the project would be enhanced road safety i.e. ‘Safe Road for All’ in India.
