Pulwama: The residents of Kenigam village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have demanded better facilities in the area, alleging that their village has been neglected so far.
Locals said that no developmental works are being executed in the area by the rural development department and authorities are not taking any initiative in this regard.
They further added that no scheme has been executed in the area under PMAY or SBM.
“We belong to financially weaker sections and political leaders come here only during elections but no developmental work is taken up at the village,” they said.
“We do not have good roads besides, the power infrastructure is also very weak due to which we have to suffer during winters,” they added.
“We have brought all our issues in notice of higher up several times but to no avail,” they said.
They requested the officials to look into the matter at an earliest so that they can heave a sigh of relief.
