Says Developmental works in Kupwara witnessing upswing

Srinagar: Welcare Civil Society Kupwara on Wednesday thanked Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for speeding up the developmental works in north Kashmir’s frontier district of Kupwara.
Welcare Civil Society in a statement issued here said that by posting a highly motivated officer as DDC Kupwara, the Lt Guv led administration has ensured that the pace of developmental works will speed up further.
Since the past few weeks the work on Degree College Kralpora was started after a gap of nearly two years. Besides, the construction of Bridge at Lolab Nallah near Galizoo Stadium Kupwara was also initiated, the statement said.
It said that several measures were taken for making the vegetable Mandi at Bomhama functional, while as the macadimization of road from Hanjipora to Trehgam Doolipora was also initiated under CRF.
The statement said that the present administration in the district has fast tracked the demarcation of land for BKC bypass and alignment. Besides, a time line has been fixed for completion of Polytechnic College Kupwara by end of June.
It said that construction work has been started on Bangergund bridge and work on the PM’s model collage at Vilgam Kupwara has also been initiated.
The civil society also welcomed the move of appointing a dedicated police officer Mr. Yugal Mnhas as SSP Kupwara.
It said that the police officer has acted tough against drug peddlers as police has booked all the notorious drug peddlers under stringent acts.
