Shopian residents demand repairing of Mohanpora-Imamsahib road

Shopian: The residents of Mohanpora and its adjacent areas have demanded repairing of vital Mohanpora-Imamsahib road.
The residents of the area said that part of the road was macadamised last year, however, part of it was left out and the remaining part is making commuting a hard exercise.
They added that part of the road which was macadamised last year has developed big cracks at most of the places which also needs to be repaired.
Due to the dilapidated condition of the road, we have been suffering and authorities must take cognizance of the issue immediately, the locals said.
School going children besides elderly people and patients are suffering mostly while travelling on the road, said Asif Ahmad, a local resident.
He said that due to unknown reasons part of the road was left out last year which is in bad condition and is giving tough time to locals.
He said that they have brought this issue into the notice of higher ups several times but to no avail.
The locals once again requested higher ups to look into the matter and order macadamisation of the the pending portion and repair the portion which was macadamised last year.
