MUMKIN scheme: 30 vehicles distributed among beneficiaries at Anantnag
ANANTNAG: As many as 30 vehicles were today distributed among the beneficiaries of the MUMKIN scheme at Dak Bungalow, here, an official said Monday.
The Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Anantnag, MY Grosi distributed the vehicles while ADDC Anantnag and Asstt. Director Employment Anantnag were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairman said that the response to the Mumkin scheme in Anantnag has been very encouraging. He said the employment generation through such self-sustained schemes is appreciable and he appealed to more youth to come forward and take benefit from the scheme.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC said that the scheme is aimed at providing employment opportunities to unemployed youth. He said that several such employment generation schemes are being run in the district and more and more youth are using these opportunities. He said awareness camps to disseminate the benefits of the schemes are also being organized in the district.
The event was attended by ADDC, AD Employment, officials of the employment department, beneficiaries and members of the media fraternity.
