Youth’s death : Shopian residents demand investigation, demand punishment for culprits

Shopian: Family members along with their neighbors and relatives on Monday staged a protest and demand investigation into the death of local youth who was found dead in Banihal on Sunday.
They raised slogans and demanded that authorities must investigate the matter at an earliest and identify the person involved in his killing.
A family member of the deceased youth said that on Friday, he left for Anantnag to bring some clothes for himself as his marriage was fixed for this week.
He said that as he went to Anantnag but he had left his phone at home and the family could not contact him.
“We searched for him everywhere but failed to get any clue about him,” he said, adding that on Sunday evening we were shocked to hear that he has been found dead” he added.
“It seems he was murdered as there were some injury marks on his head, he said, adding that matter must be investigated thoroughly so that everything will become clear.
The protestors requested police and Civil administration to investigate the matter and identify the persons involved in the murder and take strict action against the involved persons.
Pertinently, a youth identified Aarif Ramzan Ganie son of as Muhammad Ramzan Ganie, resident of Chittragam Kallan Shopian was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Banihal area of Ramban district on Sunday.
The body was spotted by locals near railway bridge Banihal and was later recovered by police.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Chitragam Riyaz Ahmad said that matter is being investigated and assured that family will get justice.
