Two terrorists killed in Pahalgam encounter, operation continues
Srinagar, May 06: Two terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter at Batkoot area of Pahalgam in South Kashmir’s Annatnag district, police said Friday.
They said that two terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter, however identity of the slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
A senior police officer said that the third militant is still alive and is being engaged in firefight by the joint team.
Earlier reports said that a joint team of Police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Batkoot forest area of Pahalgam.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
