Parongam Tral residents demand proper road connectivity, other facilities

Tral: The residents of Parongam Satoora area of Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday rued lack of basic amenities in the area and demanded attention of higher-ups in this regard.
Locals from the area alleged that the village lacks proper road connectivity due to which they are suffering as in absence of road they are forced to carry seriously ill patients and the elderly on their shoulders for getting them treated.
They said that during medical emergencies people face lot of issues and even while people fetch some essentials also they face the same difficulty.
Moreover, the locals said that the village also lacks network connectivity and they get information about any good or bad news after 3-4 days when they visit the lower areasand interact with their relatives.
They said that they have repeatedly brought these issues into the notice of higher ups several times but so far the situation has not improved.
Jaffar Ahmad, a local resident, said that politicians often come here during election campaigns and seek votes, however, when they get elected, they never visit the area again.
He said that the village has been neglected on all developmental fronts.
They locals added that even in 21st century they are facing electricity crisis as there is just one 25 KVA transformer that caters to dozens of households.
They alleged that area has been neglected on all fronts by successive government.
