Khudwani residents complain defunct drainage system
Anantnag: The defunct drainage system in Khudwani area of Kulgam district is giving tough time to locals, they said.
The locals said that the drainage system in main Kawaki Bazar area of Khudwani has gone defunct due to which the dirty water of the drains is now entering into their lawns.
“The drain is fully clogged due to which water comes out and gives tough time to locals and commuters,” they said.
They added that school going children are also facing problems and they have to cross lanes in which the dirty water enters due to which their uniform gets spoiled before reaching the school.
“The drain water also spreads foul smell in the area due to which locals feel vulnerable to many diseases,” they added.
They requested higher ups to look into the matter and take immediate steps in this regard so that locals won’t suffer anymore.
