Five residential houses damaged by fire in Sopore

Sopore: Five residential houses were completely damaged in a major fire incident at Hathishah area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday evening.
Reports that fire was broke out from one of residential house and spread to other nearby houses due to which at least five residential houses were damaged.
Locals and officials said that the houses belonged to Mohammad Yousuf Dar, Mohammad Subhan Ganaie, Ghulam Mohammad Mir, Manzoor Ahmad Dhobi and Ghulam Jeelani Mir.
Fire tenders with the help of locals douse the flames and stopped fire for spreading to other nearby houses in this large congested locality, the locals said.
They said that property worth lacs of rupees was completely gutted in the mishap and the area is still under trauma due to the heavy losses suffered by the people.
Meanwhile, official in fire service department Sopore said that as the fire broke out in the area, fire tenders from Sopore, Sangrama, Rafiabad, and Seelo were rushed to the spot to douse the flames.
