Local MLA offers free of cost education to Sadia in Bhopal
Bhopal: Golden Girl Sadia Tariq who won gold in Wushu championship in Moscow was accorded warm welcome after arriving at Bhopal. Sadia is in Bhopal for trials that are being held in view of upcoming youth Asian games.
Sadia Tariq was welcomed and garlanded by the locals who lauded her efforts by winning gold at an international championship.
Sadia was felicitated not only by sports persons but received appreciation from one and all for her brilliant achievement in the world of sports, witnesses said.
Local MLA Arif Masood also joined the crowd to felicitate Sadia Tariq and presented her a cash reward of Rs 5000.
Masood said that he can provide free of cost education for Sadia in Bhopal.
Pertinently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to social media to wish the young Wushu champion.
“Congratulations to Sadia Tariq on winning the Gold medal at the Moscow Wushu Stars Championship. Her success will inspire many budding athletes. Wishing her the very best for her future endeavours,” PM Modi said in a tweet.
While expressing his gratitude to the people of Bhopal, Sadia’s father Tariq Lone who is a senior video journalist said that it is like a dream come true that his daughter not only made him proud but got laurels for the country.
