DDC reviews shifting of utilities from Emergency Airstrip

ANANTNAG: The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Dr Piyush Singla Tuesday reviewed the progress with regard to shifting of utility services within the alignment of Emergency Airstrip at Bijbehara, here.
Reviewing the present status of 11Kv Arwani, Railway and Tulkhan feeder lines as well as 33Kv Shamsipora supply line, Executive Engineer KPDCL said that the estimation for the process has been completed and work is being executed by NHAI.
The representative from NHAI assured that 96 percent of the work has been completed and temporary provision regarding shifting has been completed. He said that the DPR framed by KPDCL has been forwarded for approval.
The DC directed the Project Director NHAI PIU Srinagar to take the KPDCL on board while executing the works and find out the best solution for charging the stations.
Regarding the issue of developing a ramp for Fruit Mandi, the DC said that a meeting shall be convened shortly with all concerned stakeholders and a temporary diversion will be constructed on a make shift basis till a permanent solution is constructed.
The meeting was attended by ADC Anantnag Gulzar Ahmad, representatives from NHAI, Ex. Eng. KPDCL Division Bijbehara, Ex. En KPDCL sub transmission division Bijbehara, representatives of various concerned line departments, among others.
