Basmani Bhatnoor Tral residents demand construction of road
Pulwama: The residents of Basmani Bhatnoor village in Tral hamlet of Pulwama district are up in arms against the RDD development for failing to construct a road in the area.
Locals from the area said that after repeated requests to the government to provide road connectivity to a local government school, work was started last year.
They said that in September last year, a JCB was brought here and the uneven land was filled up and soil drawn from slopes of the orchards was also utilized to make way for the road.
They added that time locals were assured that concrete embankments will be constructed for the safety of the orchards but locals said nothing has been done due to which their orchards too witnessed damage.
They said that no work has been done on the road since then and no JSB or nallah muck was laid on it.
They added that school going children studying at the said government school are facing lot of problems in reaching to the school.
Locals said that if government will not start work on the road in next few days they will come on roads and close the school as well.
The locals requested the higher officials to look into the matter at an earliest and construct the road so that locals especially school going children will witness some relief.
