Nine tractors seized for illegal extraction of Sand in Sopore
Sopore: Police on Friday said that they have seized nine tractors for illegal sand extraction in Rafiabad village of district Baramulla.
A police spokesman said that a team headed by SDPO Rafiabad and SHO Police Station Dangiwacha seized nine tractors during the naka checking at laiser crossing in the jurisdiction of Police Station Dangiwacha. The tractors were loaded with illegally extracted sand.
In this connection case under relevant sections of law stands registered at Police Station Dangiwacha and further investigation has been taken up, the spokesman added.
