Police arrests two drug peddlers
Srinagar: Police has arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman said Tuesday.
He said that police arrested one drug peddler identified as Nisar Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Rasool Dar resident of Rengi Pattan and recovered 200 grams of charas from his possession.
Similarly, a police party of Kunzer arrested one drug peddler identified as Mohammad Jehangir Bhat son of Ghulam Nabi Bhat resident of Mangloora Kunzer. During checking, officers were able to recover 175 grams of charas from his possession. They have been shifted to respective police stations where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in respective Police Stations and further investigation set into motion, the spokesman added.
