YSS organises trekking camp for youth
Budgam: While speaking about the initiatives of Youth Services and Sports Department, Gazanfar Ali, Director of the Department has said that every possible step is being taken to channelise the sports talent of J&K youth and all such platforms are made available to them which could help them in achieving newer heights of success in the field of games and sports.
While giving an idea about the organization of various sports activities by the Department throughout UT of J&K he said, “the field staff of the Department is leaving no stone unturned in channelising the sports talent at grass root level. Besides traditional sports school children are made to participate in different kinds of physical and recreational activities and one of such kind of activity was today organised by the at Budgam”.
A day-long Trekking Camp was organised on Monday from TBC Sithaharan Tosamaidan to Shalkan. The said camp was organized by Zonal Physical Education Office Hardpanzu on the directions of District Youth Services and Sports office Budgam.
DYSSO Budgam Masrat Jabeen has appreciated the organizing Zone and Activity Section of the DYSSO Budgam for conducting this Trekking Camp. A good number of students and a galaxy of the officials including PEMs, PETs, REKs and NYCs of the concerned zone took part in the camp jubilantly.
