India reports over 2.68 lakh new Covid cases
New Delhi, Jan 15: India added over 2.68 lakh new Covid cases, raising the tally to 3.67 crore, which included 6,041 cases of Omicron variant reported across 28 states and union territories, the health ministry said Saturday.
The active cases now comprise 3.85 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 94.83 per cent.
The daily positivity rate was recorded at 16.66 per cent while the weekly positivity rate stood at 12.84 per cent.
The cumulative doses administered in the country so far under the nationwide vaccination drive has exceeded 156.02 crore, the Union Health Ministry said.
