Tangmarg villagers complain of water scarcity
Srinagar: Residents of Tangmarg villages have complained acute scarcity of water during these harsh and chilly winter days.
Locals from Tehsil Kawarhama falling in Sub division Tangmarg complained that from the past last three daysthe village is facing acute shortage of water.
“We have been facing scarcity of water since the past several days and the people have been left to suffer a lot in this harsh weather conditions,” Mohammad Yaqoob, a local from Ogmuna village said.
He said that besides Ogmuna, the residents of Kawarhama, Ketch and Bungham are also witnessing serious water crisis.
“Though the locals visited the Jal Shakti Department officials in the area several times but as of now they have failed to resolve the issue,” he added.
The locals once again requested the authorities to provide immediate relief to the residents by providing the water at least for some hours during the day.
