Vaccinating 15-18 age group: Modalities reviewed to achieve 100 percent vaccination coverage

KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat Saturday chaired a meeting to review and finalize the arrangements put in place to vaccinate teenagers ranging in age group of 15-18.
On the occasion, the DC asked the Chief Education Officer, ZEOs, Principals/Headmasters to prepare details of the students eligible to receive the vaccination dose.
The CMO briefed the DC about the number of vaccination sites and added that the target groups ranging in age group 15-18 is more than thirty thousand in the district and all requisite arrangements are in place to carry out the vaccination process smoothly.
The DC reiterated that vaccination is an important weapon to combat the pandemic and impressed upon the concerned to ensure 100 percent coverage of all eligible teenager groups.
He also stressed on better coordination among the Education, Health and Revenue Departments to make the process smooth with cent percent coverage.
Meanwhile the DC also instructed the concerned to ensure strict implementation of Covid guidelines in markets and other places to avoid the rise of Covid-19 cases in the district.
The meeting was attended by ADC, Principals from Degree colleges, ACR, ACD, CEO, CMO, ZEOs, Tehsildars and other Officers.
