It is welcome to note that the Union Ministry of Education and Skill Development has initiated the ‘Padhe Bharat’ reading campaign. The 100 Days Reading Campaign is a vital step in improving students’ learning levels since it fosters creativity, critical thinking, vocabulary, and the ability to express oneself verbally and in writing.
It aids children in making connections with their surroundings and real-life events. All stakeholders at the national and state levels, including children, teachers, parents, the community, and educational authorities, are encouraged to participate in the reading campaign.
Children can complete the activities with the assistance of instructors, parents, peers, siblings, or other family members. The need of the hour is for our society to provide more resources for reading in order to improve children’s and teenagers’ intellectual abilities, skills and knowledge.
