National Mathematics day celebrated at GHSS boys Sopore
Sopore: To mark the 134th birth anniversary of mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan, National Mathematics day was celebrated by government higher secondary school for boys Sopore in collaboration with Chief education office Baramulla on Wednesday.
The chief guest on the event were chief education officer Baramulla G.M lone, CEO Bandipora Abdul Rouf Shaad, Director J&K mathematical institute, senior mathematicians Shabaz Hakbari, Prof Abdul Rashid Dar ex professor GDC Sopore, Nazir Ahmad ex mathematics lecturer BHSS Sopore, Youngest national awardee mathematics 2021 Dr. Nazar ul Islam. besides students, teachers and other mathematics lovers and enthusiast took part in the event.
The event was initiated with Tilawat -Quran, various speakers were spoke pertaining to the subject of mathematics, speakers while speaking on the occasion said, “there is a constant fear among the present generation when it comes to mathematics, only a few choose this subject by choice. In order to eradicate the fear we need to identity the problem and rectify it. Teachers also are important in motivating and moulding the children in such a manner that become passionate learners of the subject.
Quoting various mathematicians and discussing its inception importance the general opinion of all speakers was to have friendly approach to the subject.
Mementos and appreciation certificates were also distributed among students, teachers and others. The concluding remarks came from Principal government boys higher secondary school Abdul Rashid, he thanking all the guests present in the occasion.
