World Peace Harmony organizes ‘peace convention’ at Baramulla

Srinagar: World Peace Harmony (WPH) on Thursday organised a day long ‘Peace convention’ at Dak Bunglow in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

The day long convention saw participation of huge number of people who pledged to promote peace and harmony in Jammu and Kashmir, a spokesman of the organization said.
Chairman WPH, Haji Shakeel Saifi who was the Chief Guest on the occasion asked the participants to contribute towards establishing long lasting peace in the region and help in eradicating social evils and curbing the use of drugs among the youth.
“I have met several government officials during my visit to this place. I was shocked to know that around 7 lakh youth are involved in use of drugs, This is detrimental to the society here and we need to raise our voice over this issue,’ he said.
He assured the people that he will approach the Prime Minister Narindra Modi and seek his help in eradicating drug abuse among the youth.
The Chairman WPH said that he is here to find ways and means to help the people here who have been fighting violence for more than three decades now.
