IMPARD, LG’s Grievances Cell organize training program

JAMMU: The Jammu and Kashmir Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development (IMPARD) and LG’s Grievances Redressal Cell Thursday organized one day orientation cum training program for District Level Nodal Officers at Jammu.
The event was held under the supervision and guidance of Director General IMPARD, Saurabh Bhagat and Commissioner Secretary, Rehana Batool.
Director Training J&K, IMPARD, Jammu, Dr. Reva Sharma highlighted linkage between good governance and grievance redressal.
Additional Project Director in Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor’s Grievances Cell (JKLGGC), Mushtaq Ahmad, emphasized the need for quality disposal of public grievances in light of recent directions from Lieutenant Governor. He discussed the reports of committees constituted to study disposal of grievances by the DCs and administrative departments on JKIGRAMS.
Under Secretary Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor’s Grievances Cell, Azeeta Qureshi, gave a presentation on functioning and activities of the cell.
Muneef Buchh explained the work flow on JKIGRAMS web portal besides elaborating about handling of grievances and usage of different options on web interfaces to Nodal Officers of the district.
During the event, all important dimensions of the work related to Grievances Redressal were covered in different sessions with full participation of the trainees.
It was informed that this programme will be held in all districts of the UT besides training will be organized for the HoD level nodal officers and finally the nodal officers at the level of administrative departments.
