Covid-19: Two more areas declared containment zones in Baramulla
Sopore: Two more areas in Baramulla district in north Kashmir were declared as containment zones on Monday following the rise in covid-19 cases, officials said.
These containment zones include Nambardar Mohalla Bramun Rohama Rafiabad and Alsafa Colony in Sopore, they said.
The restriction order in this regard has been issued by District Magistrate Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar, the officials added.
Following an order, there will be complete restrictions in these containment zones. These restrictions will include complete lockdown in the said area, they said.
Moreover, tight perimeter control has been ordered in the area except for essential needs.
Besides, movement of the people in and out of the containment zones had been completely barred.
The authorities have also made testing and vaccination mandatory for the residents of the containment zones.
Meanwhile, SSP Baramulla and SP Sopore have been ordered for deployment of necessary manpower for enforcement of restrictions in the said locations.
Furthermore, the order said that any person violating the containment order shall be dealt according to the law.
