Poonch highway reopened for traffic after more than two weeks
Poonch, Oct 31: Authorities in Poonch district on Sunday ordered opening of the stretch of national highway between Bhimber Gali to Jarran Wali Gali that was closed from last seventeen days due to ongoing anti-militancy operation at Bhata Dhurian.
Officials said that today morning, directions were received from higher authorities after which field forces have opened highway stretch for traffic and vehicles are now being allowed to ply on the road.
From last 17 days, highway was continuously closed and people were facing severe hardships while travelling on the alternative Mendhar BG road due to its deteriorated condition—(KNO)
