Couple among three injured after hit by shooting stones near Ramban
Ramban: Three persons including a couple were injured after the vehicle they were travelling in was hit by “shooting stones” along the Jammu-Srinagar highway at Khooni Nallah area of Ramban district on Monday, officials said.
“The vehicle SUV bearing registration number (JK03K-0926) was on way to Jammu when it was hit by the shooting stones at Khooni Nallah at around 1300 hours on Monday afternoon, resulting in injuries to the three persons,” a police officer said.
The injured trio identified as Mudasir Ahmed, son of Manzoor, a resident of Mattan Anantnag, his wife Rashida Begum and Mohammad Suhail son of Mohammad Yaseen, has been shifted to GMC Anantnag for treatment, the officer said.
“The vehicle has also got damaged in the accident,” he said.
Meanwhile, the vehicular traffic on the highway was affected after the shooting incident.
The authorities later pressed men and machinery to clear the highway for traffic. (KNO)
