Bhagat chairs valedictory function at IMPARD
Srinagar: Saurabh Bhagat, IAS, Director General, J&K IMPARD, chaired the valedictory function of training course on Ïnter-Departmental Convergence for Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP), a spokesman of the organization said.
He said that the Training Course was held here at IMPARD Main Campus, Srinagar from October 05 – 08, 2021. District Officers from the Department of Agriculture attended the Course.
In his valedictory address the DG IMPARD said that the Gram (Village) Panchayats are constitutionally mandated for preparation of Village Panchayat Development Plans for economic upliftment of the common man and social justice while utilizing resources available within the Gram Panchayat.
These plans are developed through coordination of about more than a dozen line Departments working at village level in order to save duplication of works executed by various departments. In the process of preparation of these plans, it is of vital importance to ensure community participation.
Dr. Shafia Wani, Course Coordinator was also present on the occasion.
