16 students, two staffers test positive for covid-19 in Poonch
Poonch: Sixteen more students and two staff members of Government Higher Secondary School in Sawjiyan area of Mandi in Poonch district have tested positive for coronavirus, officials said.
The development comes a day after thirty-five students and Principal of government Girls Higher secondary School Mandi tested positive for the pathogen.
Like the case of Girls Higher secondary School Mandi, the authorities have ordered closure of the School in Sawjiyan also for five days.
Official sources said that all these students and two staffers were isolated and informed about measures to be taken while they recuperate.
CEO Poonch Abdul Majid, when contacted said that the school has been ordered to be closed for five days. (GNS)
