100 new COVID-19 cases in J-K

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 100 fresh coronavirus cases on Monday, taking the infection tally to 3,29,889 while no fresh death due to the virus was reported from the Union Territory in the past 24 hours, officials said.

Of the fresh cases, 22 were from the Jammu division and 78 from the Kashmir division, the officials said.

They said Srinagar district recorded a maximum of 44 cases followed by 10 cases in Jammu district.

There are 1,157 active cases in Jammu and Kashmir, while a total of 3,24,308 people have recovered from the infection in the UT, the officials said.

The death toll from the pandemic stands at 4,424, they said.

Meanwhile, the officials said there were 46 confirmed cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) in the union territory as no fresh infection was reported.
