DC Pulwama announces restoration of connectivity between Shimoha-Nunnag villages in Tral

PULWAMA: The District Administration Pulwama conducted a massive demolition drive to clear the illegal encroachments and structures in Shimoha Nunnag area of Tral here.
The Drive was personally monitored by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary who was accompanied by ADC Tral and other civil and police officers.
During the drive various illegally raised structures and trees on Shimoha – Nunnag road were pulled down. It is pertinent to mention that the road between Shimoha and Nunnag was blocked due to illegal encroachments by a few violators.
On the occasion, the DC said that the District Administration has initiated action against the offenders who have raised illegal structures in the district particularly along roadsides and on footpaths. He said that all encroachments which have been raised illegally will be demolished and no such construction will be allowed in future.
He warned people not to indulge in illegal construction activities and encroachments as violators would be dealt with according to law.
The DDC further added that the demolition drive in the area would connect people of the area who were facing inconvenience due to the illegal encroachments from several years.
Civil Society and people residing in the area hailed the prompt action of the administration.
