Covid-19 Awareness: Cultural Unit Srinagar, DIC Bla jointly organize Seminar

BARAMULLA: To educate different stakeholders with regard to anticipated third wave of COVID-19 pandemic, the Cultural Unit Srinagar of DIPR and District Information Centre (DIC) Baramulla in collaboration with District Administration Baramulla Thursday organized a daylong Seminar on COVID-19 awareness and mitigation.
Stakeholders from different walks of life showed their enthusiastic participation in the seminar.
Transporters, traders, shopkeepers, religious heads, chemists and others that are having large influence on different sections of people put forth their valuable suggestions and feedback with regard to mitigating the impact of a possible third wave of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, medical experts gave a detailed description wherein they highlighted different aspects associated with COVID-19. They also presented remedial and other necessary preventive measures that can be adopted to avert any kind of major exigency.
It was informed that the possible third wave can have a large impact on children and serious measures need to be taken in this regard.
Artists of Cultural Unit Srinagar presented thematic songs on the occasion.
District Information Officer (DIO) Baramulla, Mudassir Hussain presented the special address wherein he complimented all the participants for attending the seminar. He emphasized upon the participants to play a positive role and convey the requisite message to the people at the ground level.
The DIO added that strict adherence of COVID Appropriate Behaviour (CAB) is the only way out if we have to save ourselves from the negative consequences of the pandemic.
