Police solves murder case in Budgam, two held

Budgam: Police have solved a murder case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of crime, a police spokesman said Saturday.
He said that on September 17, police received an information that some labourers have indulged into physical argument at Brick Kiln 71B located at Labartal Budgam in which one labourer identified as Maan Singh resident of Bagdar Shahjahanpur UP got seriously injured and was shifted to SMHS hospital Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.297/2021 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Budgam and investigation was taken up, the spokesman added.
He said that during the course of investigation, officers came to know that two accused were involved in the crime who were absconding after commission of offence. After strenuous efforts one accused person identified as Dinesh Singh son of Kali Charan resident of Bagdar Shahjahanpur UP was arrested from Nasrullapora Budgam. Meanwhile, with the strenuous efforts another accused identified as Roop Ram son of Ram Burose resident of Bagdar Shahjahanpur UP was arrested from Budgam Railway Station when he was trying to flee from District Budgam.
Both the accused persons have been shifted to Police Station where they remain in custody. After fulfilling legal formalities the dead body will be handed over to family for last rites, the spokesman added.
