Three timber smugglers arrested in Budgam

Budgam: Police on Friday arrested three timber smugglers and seized six logs of illicit timber along with three horses, a police spokesman said.
A police spokesman said that acting upon a specific information, a naka was established at Chakarmarg Hardpanzoo in Budgam.
A police party intercepted three persons carrying illicit timber logs laden on three horses, he said.
The timber smugglers were arrested on the spot and illicit timber 24 cft alongwith horses were seized.
The arrested persons have been identified as, Mohammad Shafi Kutay, son of Ali Mohammad Kutay of Arizal Budgam, Riyaz Ahmed Chohaan, son of Abdul Rasheed Chohaan and Tanveer Ahmad Chohaan, sons of Mir Mohammed Chohaan of Kharen-zagoo Budgam, he added.
