Out of 25 Covid designated hospitals in Kashmir, 18 have no patients

Srinagar: As the cases of Covid-19 are on decline, most of the Covid-19 designated hospitals in Jammu and Kashmir don’t even have a single positive patient admitted.
As per the details available out of 25 Covid designated hospitals in Kashmir, 18 have no Covid positive patient admitted.
As per the data, till September 07, just 51 Covid positive patients are admitted in seven hospitals in Kashmir, among them 47 are on isolation beds while four are on ICU beds.
There are 3,353 Covid designated beds available in Kashmir including 3,074 isolation beds and 279 ICU and among them 3,027 isolation beds and 275 ICU beds are vacant.
Pertinently, out of around 150 active positive cases, just 51 are in hospitals while the average hospitalisation is around 4.8 percent in Kashmir division.
Notably, the bed occupancy which was almost 100 percent in the month of May has just reduced to 1.52 percent in the Kashmir division.
The active cases in the Kashmir division include 565 from Srinagar, 150 from Baramulla, 150 from Budgam, 46 from Pulwama, 27 from Kupwara, 26 from Anantnag, 30 from Bandipora, 32 from Ganderbal, 12 from Kulgam and six from Shopian
Barring Srinagar, Baramulla and Budgam, seven districts in Kashmir division have active cases below 50.
The active cases in J&K were over 50, 000 in May month which has now come down to around 1300 in the erstwhile state. (KNO)
