Prisoner dies in GMC Anantnag
Anantnag: A prisoner, who was lodged in Anantnag jail, has died at GMC Anantnag after brief illness, an official said on Saturday.
An official said that Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, son of Abdul Ahad Khan of Anchidora, who was booked in NDPS case and was in Kheribal jail since February, died at GMC Anantnag on Saturday afternoon.
He said his health condition worsened on Saturday morning, following which the jail authorities took him to GMC Anantnag where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Incharge Superintendent of Kheribal Jail, Sheroz Ahmad said that that Khan needed hospitalization this morning. However, he died at the hospital, he said. (KNO)
