Dr. Leila Chamankhah delivers web talk in CUK
Ganderbal: Department of Politics and Governance, Central University of Kashmir (CUK) conducted a web talk for the students and faculty with Dr. Leila Chamankhah from University of Dayton.
Dr. Chamankhah delivered the lecture on “Human Rights and Muslim world” and talked about the Human Rights from the perspective of the Islamic jurisprudence. Giving references to the works both in English and Persian, she pointed out the compatibility of Human Rights within the Islamic jurisprudence. Scholars and students from different academic institutions also joined and discussed the issue threadbare.
The lecture was chaired by Prof. Hamidullah Marazi, Dean School of Social Sciences and moderated by Dr. Khalid Wasim Hassan, Asst Prof. Deptt of Politics and Governance.
