Mudasir Ahmad Bhat re-elected as president

Sopore: Buyers and forwarding agents union at Asia’s second largest fruit mandi Apple town Sopore held presidential election in which Mudasir Ahmad Bhat was elected president for a second time.
The election was held in a free atmosphere at fruit mandi Sopore in which out of 280 registered voters Mudasir Ahmad Bhat got 154 votes while as his opponent Shahbaz Ahmad Tantray gets 123 votes and three votes are treated as rejected, a statement issued by the organization said.
It said that Mudasir Ahmad Bhat won by a margin of 31 votes and was re-elected as president of buyers union for the tenure of next three years.
Meanwhile, president fruit growers and dealers association fruit mandi Sopore Fayaz Ahmad Malik, economic Alliance president Sopore Haji Mohammad Ashraf Ganaie, president industrialist Sopore Javid Ahmad Bhat, president traders federation Sopore Haji Hashmatullah Hashmie, Transport association and labourers association fruit mandi Sopore congratulated Mudasir Ahmad Bhat for being elected as president for the second time in a row.
After being elected as president Mudasir Ahmad Bhat said that he is thankful for the union members for reposing trust on him once again.
He said that he will do his best for making the trade body more strong and will try to provide all facilities to the members as well as other traders associated with the fruit mandi Sopore.
