Cop dies of electrocution in Rajouri
Srinagar, Aug 25: A head constable of Jammu and Kashmir Police died due to electric shock in Thanamandi area of Rajouri district on Wednesday morning, police said.
SHO Thanamandi Fareed Ahmad said that a head constable received a severe electric shock while on duty. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
He has been identified as Mohammad Arif Khan son of Haji Abdul Rashid Thakkar resident of Thanamandi. He was posted in police station Thanamandi, the officer added.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered in this regard and investigations have been taken up, the official said.(GNS)
